In the past couple of weeks, I have been seeking God about how to fortify my life, home, property, and all things concerning me.
We live in serious times where we need to hear the voice of God about practical and spiritual protection. Lately, I have found myself living life in a different way.
The following are some things I have done to fortify my life:
I take communion almost every day. I keep wine and matzo on hand and in the middle of the night while I am up, I take communion and reconsecrate myself every day. I repent of everything I can think of and pray for healing and protection over my life and family.
One day my husband and I poured wine and oil in a cup. Wine represents the blood of Jesus, and oil represents the Holy Spirit. We walked to the four corners of our small property and poured the wine and oil at the corners of our boundary lines. We claimed Psalm 91 for protection and asked God to protect our health from disease, sickness, and that no sickness would invade our lives and property, or home. We asked the Lord for absolute protection in every aspect of our lives.
A few days ago, the Lord said, “come in, shut your doors and clear your schedule, and focus on Me.” I have a few important things to do in September, but for the most part I am inside focused on what is important.
We have extra food and water and have made some basic preparations should there be an emergency. Basic preparation is always wisdom.
We are cleaning up loose ends and taking care of “business.” Adulting always takes energy, effort, planning and intention.
I have set prayer as my highest priority. Go deeper in God in the next few months and hold on in faith. Life could become chaotic and scary, but God is in control.
