In the past year, I have read many awesome books teaching me many things. One of those books is Angel Armies, by Tim Sheets.  If you are interested in the spiritual war raging over America, this book is a powerful must read.

 

Angel Armies provides an overview of what God is up to in this crucial moment in American and world history.

 

 

Through Bible-based revelation combined with his dynamic, personal encounters with the angelic realm, Tim invites us to experience the unseen realm of Heaven’s mighty warriors.  He states that angels are more than invisible guardians of heaven – they are fierce soldiers commissioned to overthrow powers of darkness.  This book is full of scripture about angelic encounters.

 

God has taken Tim on a 16-year journey revealing to him how angels assist born-again believers.

 

The Spirit spoke to him and said, “I will lead the greatest move of God the world has ever seen.  It will be similar to the outpouring on the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts chapter two.  But this time God is sending more of His angel armies.” (Page 21).

 

A fresh word coming to the Church is that the Third Great Awakening has now begun.  “We must prepare ourselves individually and corporately to receive the Holy Spirit’s presence and power.” (Page 25).  Tim began encountering angels in churches where he was to minister, and God opened his eyes and he saw groups of angel warriors stationed everywhere.

 

“God is synergizing the coming generation with the older generation in the Third Great Awakening.” (Page 26).

 

“The next generation has the angel’s undivided attention as they stand guard over them.” (Page 29).

 

“A swirling mass of fiery anointing is coming like a whirlwind accompanied by angelic activity, to God’s remnant warriors.  A rush of excited rapid change is about to happen and change church as usual, church in the culture, and church in America.” (Page 30).

 

 

As God taught Tim on his amazing journey with angels, He spoke many times the phrase, “The greatest days in Church history are not in the past, but in its future.” (Page 33).  “Holy Spirit is now marshaling His armies to change history.” (Page 34).

 

My purpose in writing this post is not to summarize this amazing book, but rather to make you hungry to know more.  As America moves forward in uncharted waters, it is comforting to know God is releasing His angel armies to go forth to fight on behalf of America.

 

To clarify – we never worship angels; we never pray to angels and we are never to command angels.  God is the commander of angel armies.  Our job is to understand the role and function of these heavenly beings and how they help us in the earthly realm.
