There is considerable anecdotal information questioning the accuracy of reported COVID-19 cases. So much such information, that it is difficult to discount it. Here are examples and circumstances reported to me.
A friend recently reported that a man went to a COVID testing center in our area. They took his information and he waited 45 minutes and then decided to leave without being tested.
A few days later, he was notified that his COVID test was positive when, in fact. he never had the test. This man supposedly was on television reporting the experience. I personally did not see him tell his story.
Another story is of a person who tested positive (for real) and had to go back to be retested twice to return to work. Each time this person was retested , it was counted as a new case of COVID. There appears to be some degree of deception about COVID, so who knows the truth.
I wonder if these spikes in cases around the country are real or, in some cases, fabricated to impose a self-quarantine fear in order to limit or adversely affect the country.
What are the truthful numbers about COVID? Does anybody really know and do we really care? Do we believe everything we are told about COVID-19? What if the spike in numbers around the country are inaccurate due to inflated reporting in some cases? I am not saying they are. I am just saying who can possibly know the truth about any of it.
As you might expect in an election year, there is so much politicization of COVID that no one knows the truth about any of it.
It has been reported that hospitals are paid more, for example, in Medicare reimbursement (under the CARES Act) for a patient diagnosed with Coronavirus. I had friends whose daughters went to “ground zero” in New York when the pandemic was at its worst. Both daughters told their mothers that they questioned in their own minds whether hospitals were incentivized to diagnose COVID. Is COVID real? YES. Have people died? YES.
How many, that’s the question. Should we not question what is really going on?
What is the truth? We should not blindly believe everything reported. Somewhere in the mix of what we have been told there is truth, but will we ever really know the truth?
Some say, “I am only going to believe the health care professionals.” Depends on who you are believing. Is that profession completely objective and unbiased? Is there an underlying agenda? Question and you will discern for yourself where lies the truth.
I was talking to a friend recently who has a son employed by a large manufacturing company. Reportedly, a box of 500 COVID test kits were delivered to the plant. For some reason, someone had the wisdom to check the tests prior to use, and it was discovered that somehow all 500 tests kits were infected with COVID. I don’t know how they found out about the contamination, but reportedly someone did.
I was on a recent national prayer call which hosts hundreds of people from all over the country, and as soon as I came on the line, someone was praying about examples similar to those mentioned herein.
People testing positive when they had no test and contaminated test kits. What I thought may be a state issue may actually be a national issue being discovered.
Several weeks ago, my neighborhood Bible study women’s group came over for an outdoor get together just to get out of the house and make human contact. We met on my front lawn under a big tree. We checked in and let everyone talk about how they had made it through the quarantine and how they were doing.
One woman in her 60’s said, “I don’t intend to do any of this. I am not wearing a mask and I am not living in fear about this, because no one knows the truth anyway. I am going to come and go and live my life, and if I end up with COVID, I’ll either get over it or I will die with it. Either way, I will be living my life and not living in fear. If I die with it, I will go home to be with Jesus sooner.”
Most of us were surprised about her attitude. I have to admit two months ago, I was surprised. However, after seeing how this virus is playing out and questioning everything associated with it, I think she may be right.
Once again, it is time to question everything going on around us, ask questions, and get involved. Contact your elected officials and let your thoughts be known and ask questions of them.
