A few days ago I wrote about spiritual preparedness. Today I address the need to “have your house in order.”
We are living in turbulent times and no one knows what is really going on except for those “pulling the strings.” We can’t trust anything we hear or read that comes from the media, so there is no way to know the danger that may be lurking.
For months the rumble has been to get prepared for what is coming, yet no one knows what that is. There are reports from various sources that ships off the coast of California are unable to dock and unload which impacts the ability of truckers to pick up and carry their loads.
Wisdom says we all need to have enough food to feed our families for one month. We need water for a month and whatever other things are essential for you and your family. We need to keep our gas tanks full, have enough cash on hand to make it through a month, and any necessary medication.
What if the electric grid goes down for a period of time? How will you cook and live your basic life.
None of this is conspiracy theory, this is called wisdom.
It would probably be wise to back up your computers, purchase things you need that may not be easily available should we face another national crisis. I am sure we all remember the toilet paper and other shortages of 2020.
Start focusing on what is really important and praying and asking God for His direction. I prayed that prayer and He gave me specifics I needed to purchase.
These are serious precarious days and “preparation” is prudent.
Don’t be like the five foolish virgins in the New Testament who weren’t prepared when the bridegroom came. They ran out of oil and went to purchase more and while they were gone the bridegroom came and they were left behind.
If we have ever needed to hear the voice of the Lord, it is now! Our lives may depend on it. It is time to quiet our souls and listen to what God is saying to us. Invite Him to give you dreams and speak so you can hear.
The hour is late! Be sober and about His business.

Thank you, Brenda, for this reminder.
Thanks Nola. I am struggling with staying current with my writing. It is really a challenge for me.
Good advice!
Thanks Shawn. I am having a hard time staying current with writing. So miss you. Can’t wait for Bible study to start back again. I pray your business is going well.
