Life’s struggle can leave us drained and exhausted from overwhelming obstacles. As we press through our challenges, we learn perseverance and
steadfastness despite difficulty or delay. God wants us to be overcomers in our ordinary lives. We learn tenacity and staying power as we exercise diligence
and commitment in difficult circumstances.
Sometimes our heart aches for a better or different life
when God is calling us to surrender under His almighty hand to our day-to-day and often
routine and boring circumstances.
Our lack of contentment on our mundane arduous journey can erode our hope and leave us open for temptation that lures us off the narrow path that leads
to the promises of God.
Your adversity may be a miserable marriage, a difficult child or children, singleness, barrenness, poverty, and/or financial loss, physical sickness or
debilitation, psychological disorder/s, career struggles, or hard transition. We all have a strenuous path where we walk alone with the Lord where He
flushes out the intentions of our heart and establishes integrity in our “inner most part.”
He is calling us to take the high road of uncompromising commitment to
Him that requires steadfastness, diligence and dedication to what He has instructed us to do.
Yielding and growing in maturity causes us to die to ourselves and our good ideas, plans, dreams, and the way we think life should be. Obedience does not
always lead to success but rather to greater dying to self. As we kick and squirm under God’s dealings in our lives, we come to the end of ourselves which
brings us face-to-face with our loving Heavenly Father. He enables us to let go of the struggle and rest in His arms. Jesus brings peace and hope for a better
and a different day where we are infused with His love, grace, and mercy.
I encourage you to not give up hope and faith for a better day. God will heal your broken heart and sustain you through the days
ahead. He will turn your mourning into dancing, and your tears into joy.
