With the lone ranger mentality can come isolation, “my way is the only way,” online church (only), no real fellowship with other believers, and being stuck in the old wineskin.
We are making choices every day—we are moving more into the Kingdom of heaven, or we are stepping back and away into more isolation, dead religion, and complacency.
Last summer in a powerful prayer group of three, we all said “Yes” to the Lord for whatever that looked like in our lives. For me that was a game changer!
Not long afterwards my “yes” became a tangible new work and an incredible opportunity to help establish an apostolic Hub in the Middle Tennessee Region.
If I had been living with a “long ranger” mentality, I would have totally missed the new work. Even the Lone Ranger didn’t do it alone.
Many of us have been able to get by with a lone ranger isolated walk with God in the past, but it’s not going to carry us into the future. I lived there for many years for all the same reasons some of you are there now. I totally understand, but God is shaking His Church and forcing us to get in alignment with Him and His advancement of His Kingdom OR be left behind.
We can say “no” and sit on the sidelines, or we can say “yes” and participate in the greatest outpouring of God’s Spirit since Pentecost in the book of Acts.
Come out of your isolation, give up your lone ranger mentality and step into the river of God that is cleansing and healing the nations.
Say “YES” to the new work of God in your midst.
