Grandchildren
Dr. Rambo has been blessed with three wonderful grandsons. Spending time with them playing, eating yummy food, and watching them grow in their gifts and talents has been one of her richest blessing. As they grow into young men, studying hard and meeting daily responsibilities, it is so rewarding to see their growth in all areas of their lives–sports, academics, music, and their many other interests. Much time, commitment, and priority have been given to being a loving and giving grandmother.
Cooking/Entertaining
For many years, Dr. Rambo has enjoyed learning about healthy living and pursuing that goal through cooking. She has read extensively about how to lose weight naturally and how to live a simple, healthy life. Several years ago she attended cooking classes at Viking Culinary School in Franklin, Tennessee. At that time, she was so passionate about cooking that she considered a mid-life career change and gave thought to becoming a chef. She had the wisdom to not pursue cooking as a career, so now she cooks for joy!
Gardening
Her mother and father enjoyed growing vegetable gardens and flowers and Dr. Rambo learned much about life working at her dad’s side as a child and teenager in the huge family garden. She learned you work before you play and meet your responsibilities first. In the toil and heat of those summer gardens, tremendous discipline and grit were forged in her character. Hard work and meeting responsibilities were core values she learned while working in those gardens. In spite of the hard work, watching plants and flowers grow has always been a joy. Dr. Rambo believes it serves us well to stop for a while and sit down and smell the roses along the path of life.
