“Those who are wise will find a time and a way to do what is right, for there is a time and a way for everything, even when a person is in trouble.”
Ecclesiastes 8:6-7 (NLT)
Lately I have been dwelling in the Word. As we dwell, we have time to meander through the richness of the scripture and find the hidden treasures. Recently, I found myself combing through Solomon’s wisdom from Ecclesiastes. When I landed on Ecclesiastes 8:6-7, the words leapt off the page and into my heart. Now on to this writing.
Wisdom comes with a price.
Wisdom evolves over a span of time where we have lived in the crucible of life. God’s wisdom can change us and give us insight and direction that comes no other way.
Proverbs 1:3 and 7 says, “Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right just and fair. Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”
“Wisdom allows us to find a time and a way to do what is right, for there is a time and a way for everything.”
It is refreshing to me there is a “time and way” to do everything. God wants to give us wisdom for the NOW. Our problem is we don’t want to listen to His wisdom.
We are bent on living our lives the same ole way destroying our health our relationships and families without even realizing we are the problem.
I have some non-serious health issues I created from lack of obedience and discipline in eating and exercise. We create our problems then turn around and blame it on the devil, a demon, a generational curse, or some person when we are the problem.
There is so much “God speak” and religiosity wrapped around everything that people can’t see the obvious.
God may be saying to all of us stop all this “God speak” and religious verbiage that makes our families “sick” and get real and call things what they are.
Seek His wisdom for our lives and He will make clear to us what we are to do and how we are to do it.
During these winter months of hibernation, let God transform you and retool you for the days ahead.
“There is a time and a way for everything.”
